Sale Time

6th season in Russellville! I love my job! In the last two weeks I've been at two different events, one in Little Rock and one in Mansfield, TX. I was training new franchise owners from Northern Indiana, Cincinnati, Overland Park, Mountain Home and Pine Bluff. I am so thankful to work with great ladies around the country and especially at my own sale. We moved in today to a new location with wonderful light and space. I am thankful for my leaders and the many consignors who are entering items into our sale right now! It's been a crazy and busy few weeks...check in starts tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited!

Sunshine!!

I'm so thankful for the SUNSHINE TODAY! Ryan took the ACT, Lauren swam in a swim meet, Erin is at DNow, Richard and I hung up banners outside in Russellville. The snow is melting... Woohoo!

I love my job!

One of my favorite things about my work on my Rhea Lana events is the new, precious friends I have made over the years. Christa and Allyson were one of the first that I ever trained. Their sale in South Tulsa is my Broken Arrow neighbor and I'm so thrilled to be able to spend time with them! They are fun to be with and so funny! They are also hard workers and good people. I'm so glad we're friends!

On Friday I headed to Tulsa to participate with the girls in the Tulsa Women's Expo. We told the hundreds of folks who came to the first day of the Expo that we were worth trying! We're going into an area where a competitor has been around for a long time. It's fun to be the "new guy" in town and talk to people about what we have to offer. It will be especially great when we have our own following.

Snowfall #2

For about 8 hours on Wednesday the most BEAUTIFUL SNOW fell all over the River Valley! ALL the neighborhood kids were layered up and outside, dads were out on 4-wheelers pulling sleds, I had hot soup and cookies made, it was a super fun day for everyone!

School was out the remainder of the week: parent/teacher conferences will be rescheduled, valentine parties are postponed, Homecoming was postponed at the high school, the junior high dance was cancelled, Lauren missed another swim meet, and there's lots of discussion about just how long we'll have school around June!

Snowfall #1

2011 has brought a lot of snow! There have been 5 major snow falls to hit Arkansas. The largest one stopped about 40 miles north of us and we just got a lot of rain. The second one was south of us and we got about 4 inches in about 5 hours. Kids have missed A LOT of school...and they now figure snow days as school days in June. We kept pretty busy last weekend...the kids got out of school at 11 on Friday and I immediately had them making lists of things they were going to complete...no "I'm bored." The big kids had friends over, we watched the Princess Diaries movies, Sheridan and I worked a 400 piece puzzle, make a valentine's day box, baked cupcakes and worked on AWANA verses. TODAY, we are under another huge WINTER STORM WATCH and the snow is coming down hard. There is already about 4 inches on my deck railing (the official measuring spot for me).

Snow Day

Snow Day...Richard and I both had a lot on our lists for our Friday. However, school was cancelled and we picked up the kids at 11:00. We needed some entertainment so I started Erin and Sheridan making CHOCOLATE COOKIE DOUGH CUPCAKES! I'm kind of addicted to all the blogs that are simply about cup cakes. I mean cupcakes are happy food...and I like them! Yeah, they were good.

Dream Team

Trey (Sr), Jordan (Sr), Wesley (Sr), Ryan (Jr), Coach Banning

So proud of Ryan to receive recognition for his great football season. He was choosen by coaches to be part of the KARV RIVER VALLEY DREAM TEAM. There was a special banquet hosted by the radio station, and the coach got to "roast" their players.
