Wedding Day

So happy to have been a witness to the wedding of Ashley and Heath, and their 4 children. A redemption of family through faith in the One who designed families and love. We spent the afternoon helping the kiddos rest up for the big night...kept them in a quiet place for naps (amazing that happened at all!) and then bathed them before sending them off for hair and outfits... We had been out at a swimmeet until after midnight the night before and so this was a great job for our family to all rest up!

The wedding was at the beautiful Crystal Bridges museum in a grand glass room. The ceremony took place in the middle of the room on a small platform lined with gauzy fabric, rose bouquets and grape vines. Ashley was escorted down the aisle by her 4 children and they gave their mom away to Heath. Richard and Dave performed the ceremony with serious and funny words that only brothers could get away with. It was heartfelt from all sides and tears and smiles were in abundance. When Richard was giving vows to Heath, he said, "I promise to love you...protect you...lead you...help you find your keys and phone...and maybe your car."

It was a fabulous evening in a breath-taking venue. My girls loved dressing up in pretty dresses and high heels. So thankful to have Heath in the family.
