Like sands through the hourglass...

It's the last days of 2007 and I am now joining the technology era with my own blog! I don't have anything earth shattering to say at this moment...but what if all the bloggers are right and I am wrong about not publishing my ramblings?! I do not want to be left out of the blogera. (That is my new word, use at your own risk, it sounds kind of like a science word)

Anyway, to explain my Blog title....Beyond the relaxing side effects of warm water and clean scents and the inherent hygiene properties of a bath...the value of a bath is best measured by the minutes without interruptions from the phone, the laundry, the dishes, the homework, and yes, my family.

If I'm in the bathroom and not in the tub they can, and will, talk to me through the door, slip little drawings/notes/mail/fingers under the door, and try to open the door for a "quick question." But when the bath water has been drawn at our house, they know Mom is taking a break! It's quiet time for me even though I can hear the wrestling match outside the door and the argument over who had the phone last and I know where the missing shoes are...

I am blessed to have a wonderful husband who can even appreciate the value of a bath for me. Over the last 15 years of my wonderful marriage my husband has even been known to suggest I take a bath. It's kind of like a grown up "time out" if you will. I don't even take it personally.

I love a bubble bath day!

So glad to see you jumping in to the blogera. It is nice to be your inspiration point as well.
