It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...

Our first beautiful snow fell yesterday evening, and is all but gone today! It was so heavy and wet it called out to my kids to play in it. They don't know how fortunate they are to have a dad that would let them go play in the snow, in the dark! I would have NEVER thought that was OK! Erin was surprised everyone didn't have a snowman or a fort in their yard today when I took her to school!

This is a picture of Ryan and his birthday present. We picked it up after we got home from the cruise. Grandma, Grandpa, Mimi and Gramps went in with us to get him this beautiful moped. (looking for picture!)

He has ridden it out of the neighborhood twice now. Once to the high school to play basketball on MLK day and once to referee at the Marvin Vincent Center, where he works Monday and Friday nights with Richard. Richard did follow him the first time, Grandma. He's very responsible and we thought it was a good gift for an active boy who lives less than 7 minutes from school and church, and goes there often for activities at odd times. He cannot ride it to school during the school year, but he can ride it to football practice during the summer.

This next picture is one for the picture albums. I'm so thankful my children have this kind of relationship with all 4 of their grandparents. You can see love in the picture! In fact, Richard and I both feel blessed that all of our children have also had,or have, a relationship with 6 of their great
grandparents! It's really an amazing heritage of FAMILY. We are rich in blessings as families go. This is a picture of Mimi and Gramps when they kept the kids at the beginning of January.
