Vacation Bible School!

I grew up loving VBS and I'm an adult and love it even more. My favorite reason is that during the very hectic, chaotic, fun week you can see more of God's people doing God's work than at any other time of the year.

Here's our stage: I half-joking asked Richard if he could suspend the atom (someone else made) from the ceiling. Before I knew it there it was!

Power Lab- where we discovered Jesus gives us the power to be thankful, to be helpful, to be brave, to live forever, and to share the good news about Jesus! It's amazing just how many times you can use these phrases at home! God's news is good all the time and His power is available too!

Here is family night: All the kids get to get up on stage and sing a song!

This is the game Richard and I hosted during family night. I had this idea in my head after seeing it in a movie. Richard saved me as he helped me purchase the materials, move the frame, build the wall, and figure out how to get the paint in the balloons enough to splat(while not getting it in our mouths)!

OH MY! He is my hero in so many ways! We had fun and so did the kids. No kidding, Sheridan was the first 5 year old to hit a balloon! Very fun!

I prayed to receive Christ at VBS when I was 9 years old. H.D. McCarty shared the gospel in a simple way. I received it, believed it, and my life has been forever changed!
