The day school started we stopped going to the garden. We got busy with making lunches, bedtimes, school supplies, signing endless first-of-the-year papers, before and after school practices and the never ending laundry pile!
This was the last pick - we probably could have gotten more tomatoes...as they finally all ripened at the same time...but we didn't even look outside until they had split and the gnats had taken over the plot!
The weather this year was perfect for gardening, and we'll all fondly remember this summer as the cucumber summer!
