Gingerbread Houses

It's a family tradition to get out the icing and the candy and decorate gingerbread houses for Christmas. None of our houses would be on the cover of Better Homes and Gardens...but it's so much fun! It was a little cool outside but none of us noticed because we were into it!OK, these next few pictures show Ryan helping Titus with their house. This was so funny because Titus was very interested in the icing and for every item Ryan added to the house, Titus took something off to eat!

This train was done by the big girls! The overalls on the "conductor" are a great touch!

How fun! I think I may make one next weekend. I saw in a magazine yesterday where they made "gingerbread" houses out of rice krispy treats. I think I am going to try that!

Laura, I saw some kits on sale at Hobby Lobby today for rice krispy treat houses.

Ashley,
A kit is exactly what I need! I'll have to check that out! Thanks for the tip. I have enjoyed the pictures of you on Jennifer's blog. You are so beautiful--inside AND out!!!!
