Christmas in Wisconsin

Home of the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers, and cheese. Gramps and Mimi treated the WHOLE Rogers clan to a WEEK in the fun-filled Wisconsin Dells (Water Park Capitol of the World). We thought we were just going to ski, but the Dells are FULL of fun things for everyone in the family. Eleven grandchildren ranging in age from 22-2 found skiing, swimming, and amusements to pack into a full 5 days. My kids loved being with their cousins, in fact, Sheridan's highlight was dinner time each night: "When we got to see everyone in the same place and visit." How about that?

I'll be honest: I married into a glamorous family full of beautiful ladies and smart people and I often feel very frumpy and dull around them. It was also hard for me to share my kiddos with cousins all day and sometimes into the night, right in the middle of the holidays! I have so much to be thankful for, and I really had to work during the week to keep my eyes on the reason for the celebration. I didn't always succeed and I'm thankful my kids never seemed to be affected by my pity party. We even came home unscathed by the 12 hour car ride!  Happy Anniversary Gramps and Mimi and Happy Birthday Jesus.
